Terms of Service
These terms are the agreement between you and us about using Tinkrite. Please read them; they are short on purpose.
1. Who we are, and what you are agreeing to
Tinkrite is provided by C-GENIE-TECH, Full details are in section 12.
By signing in to Tinkrite you accept these terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not accept them, do not use the app.
2. Who can use Tinkrite
You need to be old enough to enter into this agreement where you live. If you are below the age of digital consent in your country, you need permission from a parent or guardian before using Tinkrite; whoever holds the account is responsible for how it is used.
3. What Tinkrite does
Tinkrite helps you practise writing: it gives you dictation exercises to write out by hand, transcribes and grades a photograph of what you wrote, and lets you compose stories turn by turn with an assistant.
Exercises, corrections and story text are generated by artificial intelligence, and can be wrong. A grade Tinkrite gives you is practice feedback, not an assessment, a qualification or a certification, and it carries no official standing. Treat it as a helpful second opinion, not a verdict. Tell us if a correction looks wrong — it helps.
4. Your account
- One account per person. Keep your password to yourself.
- A single device can hold at most three signed-in accounts. This is a deliberate limit and there is no way around it.
- You are responsible for what happens under your account. If you think someone else has access to it, change your password.
5. What you may not do
When you submit a photograph or write text in Tinkrite, you must not:
- submit anything unlawful, hateful, harassing, violent or sexual;
- submit photographs of other people without their agreement, or anything showing another person's private information;
- impersonate anyone, or choose a display name intended to deceive, offend, or pass you off as someone else;
- try to break, overload, reverse-engineer or gain unauthorised access to the service, or use it through automated means;
- deliberately try to make the AI produce harmful or unlawful content.
This matters practically as well as legally: what you write is sent to the AI providers listed in the Privacy Policy in order to be processed, and your display name is visible to other users on the leaderboard.
6. Your work stays yours
Everything you write and photograph in Tinkrite remains yours. We claim no ownership of it.
You give us only the permission we need to run the service for you: to store your submissions, transcribe and grade them, generate a response, and show your results back to you. That permission is limited to operating Tinkrite, lasts only as long as we hold the content under the Privacy Policy's retention rules, and ends when you delete your account.
We do not use what you write to train AI models, and we do not license it to anyone.
The app itself — its software, design, text and graphics — belongs to C-GENIE-TECH and is not yours to copy or redistribute.
7. Usage limits, and the absence of anything to buy
Tinkrite limits how many dictations you can complete in a day, and how far a story can run. These limits are enforced by our servers.
There is nothing to buy. Tinkrite has no in-app purchase, no subscription and no paid tier. When you reach a limit, the app may ask whether you would want more — tapping that is telling us you are interested, and nothing else. Nothing is charged, no purchase is made, and no payment details are ever requested. If that changes, these terms will change first.
8. Availability, and ending the agreement
We try to keep Tinkrite available, but we do not guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may change, suspend or discontinue features, and we will give reasonable notice of a significant change where we can.
We may suspend or terminate an account that breaks section 5, or that we must act on for legal or security reasons. Where it is reasonable to do so, we will tell you why and give you a chance to respond.
You may end this agreement at any time by deleting your account in Settings. That is immediate and irreversible, and it erases your data as described in the Privacy Policy.
9. Our responsibility to you
Tinkrite is provided as a learning aid. To the extent the law allows, we do not promise it will be error-free, uninterrupted, or fit for any particular purpose, and we are not liable for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable, for lost data you could have kept a copy of, or for how you use or rely on a grade or generated text.
None of this limits the rights you have as a consumer under French law, which cannot be waived — including our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, and our obligations under the legal guarantee of conformity. Nothing in these terms takes away a right the law gives you.
10. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by French law, and the French courts have jurisdiction — without depriving you of the protection of the mandatory rules of the country where you live, or of your right to bring proceedings there if you are a consumer.
Before going to court, please write to contact@tinkrite.com; most things are quicker to fix that way. As a consumer you may also use the European Commission's Online Dispute Resolution platform: ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If a change matters to you, we will tell you in the app before it takes effect and update the date at the top. Continuing to use Tinkrite after that means you accept the new terms; if you do not, you can delete your account.
